@mulder· the ridge, 2:14am
Three lights crossed the ridge at 2:14am. No sound at all. I got forty seconds of it.
…and 1,400 posts since.
Great content needs a home where people can find it again.

The truth is out there. It's just buried in a feed somewhere.
Forty seconds of something no one can explain. It sinks to the bottom of a thread. No one who drives out there will ever see it.
Or it stays on the ridge. The next person who drives out there finds it waiting.
Content you can walk into.
Clouds
Some things don't happen anywhere.
A home for things that don’t have an address. Recipes, festival plans, deep rabbit holes.
If a crumb has a place, it goes on the map. If it doesn’t, like a recipe or an idea, it goes in a Cloud. These are real Clouds, live right now.
Islands, not a grid. A small interest is a tiny rock. Something you love for years grows into a continent.
Tap to go deeper. Art, then public art, then sculpture. Stop at any level to see everything inside it.
It opens back out. A Cloud can send you into a city. A street can send you down a rabbit hole.
Instead of scrolling someone's posts, you explore the world they built.
What you get

Keep the map safe to walk
We check public posts before they go on the map. Private crumbs and crumbs sent to one person are never checked. Real places deserve real posts.
Every crumb has this menu. If you block someone, you won’t see each other on the map again.
What it will never do: write your caption or make up a memory.
Who's down there
Crumbs lets you build the world for each other.
Pick the one that sounds like you.
Share the city only you know, and get paid for it.
What you get
Every place you’ve made something about becomes a pin people can walk to. Your video about a restaurant isn’t lost on YouTube. Someone standing outside at 8pm finds it, even years later.
How you use it
Drop crumbs at the places your work is about. Link them into a trail people can follow across a city. Your Cloud holds the rest: links, reels and older work.
How you make money
Sell a trail, a kit or a Pocket Crumb set. Subscriptions are $5–$25 a month. Kits are $10–$50. Single crumbs are $1–$5. Sales happen on the web, so no app store takes a cut. You keep 90%. We’re starting with a small group of hand-picked creators. Request an invite.
Why now
The first group is small on purpose. We made profiles from public work and left them open to claim. Whoever claims a neighborhood, a topic or a city first is who people find there.
Everything your group knows, right where it’s useful.
What you get
Tips about the swimming hole belong at the swimming hole, not in an old comment no one will find. The turn people miss gets a crumb right at the turn.
How you use it
Turn the group chat, the spreadsheet, the Discord and the old threads into one trail. Anyone in the group can add to it. The next person who walks it finds everything along the way.
Why now
Seven million people in four hobby subreddits already talk about where to go. The groups that map their spots first become the ones everyone joins.
Leave something at a place, for one person to find when they get there.
What you get
A crumb can be for everyone, for one person, or for a Circle you make, like your family, your team or your climbing group. They can see it from anywhere. But standing where you left it feels different.
How you use it
Leave you've got this outside her new office the night before. Leave a photo on the lawn where your dog used to run, and add a new one every year. Leave a prayer at a temple someone you love may not visit for years.
Why it lasts
It stays as long as you want. No algorithm buries it. Years later, your kids can stand in the same spot and find what you left there.
Stop paying for attention. Make your place the reason people come.
What you get
Your space becomes something people can explore: official crumbs, trails, and things to find while they’re there. Something useful, not another ad.
How you use it
A product drop becomes a trail across the city, past murals, courts and stores. A festival lives on before, during and after the weekend. A museum adds the stories its labels never had room for.
Why now
Being early is what counts, and the map is filling up right now. The places already on it when their city fills up are the ones people plan their day around.
We may have already built your profile. Your work put a few places on this map before you did. It's waiting, with your name on it.

What is Posty Crumbs?
It’s a new kind of social media where the world is the feed. Posty Crumbs ("Crumbs" for short) is a free app for iPhone and Android. You leave photos, video, voice notes, text and links at the exact place they belong. Then you find what other people left where you’re standing. It’s for adults, 18+.
Is Posty Crumbs a new kind of social media app?
Yes. There’s no endless feed of strangers. Every post is pinned to a real place. You find it by going there or by looking on the map. If you’d rather scroll, there’s also a list of what’s near you.
How is Crumbs different from BeReal or Snap Map?
BeReal asks for one photo at a random time each day. Snap Map shows where your friends are right now. Crumbs pins photos, video and stories to the place they happened. They’re still there when someone walks by later. You can also link crumbs into a Trail, like a walk, a guide or a hunt. Anyone can follow it on foot.
What is a crumb?
A crumb is a post you drop at a real place. You fill it with photos, video, voice notes, text and links. One crumb holds up to 50 things. It doesn’t vanish after 24 hours. It stays as long as you want. You can set a timer if you want it gone.
Can I leave a message for a friend at a place?
Yes. A crumb can be public, for one person, or for a Circle you make, like your family, your team or your climbing group. They find it when they get there. You can also make it disappear after they open it.
Can I make a digital time capsule?
Yes, one tied to a place. Leave a crumb where something happened. It stays as long as you want. Anyone, one friend or a Circle can find it when they come. You can also set it to disappear after a while, or after your friend opens it.
Can I make a scavenger hunt or a walking tour?
Yes. A Trail is a chain of crumbs along a route. It can be a city walk, a guide, a story told stop by stop, or a hunt. Find Trails on the map and follow one on foot.
Do I have to be there to see a crumb?
No. You can browse the whole map from your couch. But being there is different. The map shows how far away each crumb is. Look around shows them through your camera. You can also turn on nudges that tell you when you walk past one.
Is it free?
Yes. Exploring, dropping and following are free on iPhone and Android. Selling trails and kits will open to a small group of invited creators first.
Is my location visible to everyone?
No. We never share where you are. The app uses your location to show what’s near you and to place what you drop. Each crumb you leave can be public, for one person, or for a Circle you make.
Does it drain my battery?
The background features are off until you turn them on: the nudge when you walk past a crumb, and the daily card. With them off, the app only uses your location while it’s open on your screen.
Do my friends have to download it first?
No. There are already {{ crumbCount }} crumbs and {{ trailCount }} trails on the map. Most are in Southern California. Explore on your own on day one, and invite people later.
Which phones does it run on?
iPhone and Android, free on both. Two extras come to iPhone first: the nudge when you walk past a crumb, and the daily card. Android gets them later.
How old do I have to be?
You must be 18 or older. You confirm this when you sign up. Our privacy policy lists everything we collect and why.
